The five cost drivers
Number of stops, rated capacity, drive type (hydraulic, traction or MRL), cabin finish, and whether the shaft already exists.
Ongoing cost
Budget for an annual maintenance contract and, in most Indian cities, a power backup arrangement. Ask for both in the first quote so the comparison between suppliers is fair.
